In the 1980s, there was no community recreational centre with an indoor pool in any of the surrounding towns. It was this lack of community services which encouraged Piret Kreem-King to build Splashy's Swim 'n Fitness. Splashy's has been serving the communities of Bradford, Schomberg, Pottageville, Tottenham, Beeton, Newmarket, Alliston and as far away as Barrie. Many former swimmers now bring their own kids to Splashy's as this highly recommended family business has been part of the community for such a long time.

Splashy's has done a lot over the years. In previous years, we have had fitness classes and personal fitness training at the fitness studio, and also had recreational gymnastics and fitness for children.

During the summers, we have also offered a really neat summer camp where campers play sports and games, swim, and play in the indoor playground. In the 1990s, our baseball diamond was used in our summer camp.

However, swimming is our main focus.

The indoor playground opened in 2001, which was the first for Bradford or any other surrounding community. Setting us apart, the indoor playground also has a jumping castle! Presently, we have mainly pool birthday parties.

In many ways, we were and continue to be an interesting business and community centre in Bradford.

Even though Piret is semi retired,  her son Lukas is continuing to provide quality swimming instruction and teach life skills.  And even though Bradford now has a recreational centre of its own due to its large population expansion, clients enjoy coming to Splashy's because of the small scale family atmosphere, where you are known by name and not just a number. Swimming lessons are taught by professional, mature staff.

Situated on a farm, Splashy's also offers pick-your-own and ready picked strawberries and other fruits and vegetables from the farm. On the side, Lukas is also a beekeeper and sells honey. Come enjoy the many services we provide and see why we have been here since 1989!
